The mid-sized company, ABC Athletics Co., is now experiencing sales growth and will need to hire additional employees to keep up with demand. The organization experienced an increase in turnover rates among production workers in the past five years and expects it to continue over the next three years. ABC Athletics Co. also expects to lose 10% of its workforce through retirement. It is apparent that the talent management process needs improvement and the organization must be better prepared to respond to short-term and long-term changes in the workforce. As the HR director, you recognize the need for a new, comprehensive, and integrated talent management approach.
Purpose: The primary goal of this assignment is to engage you in a paper review and revision process with the support of a writing specialist. The outcome of this assignment is a draft of the Final Paper due in Week 6.

When a company lacks a clear and proper talent management plan, there is always a risk of experiencing a loss of income. The main reason attributed to this loss is due to the constant loss of human resources who were experts in certain areas either through retirement or through employees' turnover. When a company has a well-defined talent management plan, there is always constant monitoring of the human talent available in the organization. The talent management plan will, therefore, help in constantly reviewing employees who are about to leave the organization due to retirement age while also establishing a need for more employees when there is a vacancy that has emerged. The current situation facing the ABC Company can be leveraged only when there is a thorough check on the workforce planning, where the company will need to establish whether they have been considering whether the company needs to recruit. After evaluating the needs of the company, the talent manager should evaluate whether the recruitment processes that have been used in the past have been effective enough to cater to the talent needs of the organization and make the necessary adjustments to suit the company's needs. The company will then review the talent selection process and this will mostly include the criteria used to invite potential candidates to an interview. The talent manager should be keen to know whether candidates to an interview march the job specifications and if this is not taken care of, then the selection procedure needs to be evaluated. The company will also need to have a look at the way recruits are handled and whether they are given clear instructions on their expected duties and whether they are well-versant with the organization in which they are working for. ABC COMPANY 3 A crucial evaluation is on whether employees undergo some training sessions to keep them aware of the dynamics within their industry. Such training will help in the growth and development of the employees while making them more productive for the organization.
