Values-based Education (VbE) was conceived and implemented at a community school in Oxfordshire, UK. It was developed as an integral and explicit part of the school’s curriculum and pedagogy, as a method for educating pupils in positive human values such as trust, humility, compassion, joy, hope, and love. Over a period of 7 years, its impact on the quality of teaching and learning was monitored and evaluated as the research subject of the Headteacher’s doctoral thesis at Oxford University. The chapter outlines the nature of the program and the results of the research.
