নিজ দেশ ও জন্মভূমির প্রতি মানুষের অকৃত্রিম ভালোবাসাই স্বদেশপ্রেম। স্বদেশের প্রকৃতি ও ধূলিকণা আমাদের নিকট অতি প্রিয় ও পবিত্র। শিশুকাল থেকেই মানুষ স্বদেশের মাটিতে বেড়ে ওঠে। মায়ের বুক যেমন সন্তানের নিরাপদ ও নিশ্চিন্ত আশ্রয়, স্বদেশের কোলে মানুষ তেমনি নিরাপদ ও নিশ্চিত আশ্রয় লাভ করে। স্বদেশকে ভালোবাসার মাঝেই মানব জীবনের চরম সার্থকতা নিহিত। বিভিন্ন কবি সাহিত্যিক তাদের কবিতা, কাব্য, নাটক, গান, উপন্যাস প্রভৃতি লেখনির মাধ্যমে তাদের দেশপ্রেমকে ফুটিয়ে তুলেছেন মাতৃভাষার মাধ্যমে। তেমনি দুইটি কবিতা হল আবদুল হাকিমের “বঙ্গবাণী” মাইকেল মধুসূদন দত্তের “কপোতাক্ষ নদ” উভয় কবিতাতেই খুবই চমৎকারভাবে মাতৃভাষার প্রতি এক গভীর মমত্ববোধের বহিঃপ্রকাশ ঘটেছে। 

“বঙ্গবাণী”  কবিতায় কবি মাতৃভাষার প্রতি এক গভীর টান উপলব্ধি করেছেন । সেই সাথে অন্য ভাষার প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা দেখিয়েছেন। এবং শুধু তাই নয়, মাতৃভাষার সাথে ধর্মীয় দিকটি কবি অত্যন্ত নিপুণভাবে তুলে ধরেছেন। যে ভাষা সকলের বোধগম্য সে ভাষতেই কথা বলা বা লেখা বাঞ্ছনীয় । তাই কবি নিজ ভাষাতেই গ্রন্থ রচনায় মনোনিবেশ করেছেন। এতে মাতৃভাষার প্রতি শ্রদ্ধার পাশাপাশি দেশপ্রেমের একটি নিদর্শন কবি অংকিত করেছেন। কবি একদিকে যেমন মাতৃভাষার প্রতি গভীর মমত্ববোধ দেখিয়েছেন অন্যদিকে খুবই কঠোর ভাষায় ওই সকল লোকদের জন্ম ও পরিচয় নিয়ে সন্ধিহানের কথা বলেছেন যারা নিজ মাতৃভাষার প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাশীল নয় । তাদেরকে নিজ দেশ ছেড়ে দিয়ে অন্যত্র চলে যাওয়ার কথা বলেছেন। এভাবেই বঙ্গবাণী কবিতায় দেশপ্রেমের বহিঃপ্রকাশ ঘটেছে মাতৃভাষার প্রীতির মধ্য দিয়ে। 

“কপোতাক্ষ নদ”  কবিতায় কবির স্মৃতিকাতরতা আবরণে তার ভিতর দেশপ্রেমের প্রকাশ ঘটে। নিজ মাতৃভূমি ছেড়ে কবি যখন বিদেশে পাড়ি জমালেন ঠিক তখনি হৃদয়ে অনুভব করলেন স্বদেশের প্রতি এক অদ্ভুত টান। আর এই টান সৃষ্টি হয়েছে স্মৃতিচারণ করা কপোতাক্ষ নদীকে কেন্দ্র করে। কবি চিত্তে বারবার জেগে উঠেছে দেশের প্রতি অন্তিম প্রেম আর এই প্রেমের জাগরণ ঘটে কবি যখন বিদেশে বসে শৈশবের নদীর কলকল ধ্বনি শুনতে পান। কবি মনে সংশয় জাগে নদীর দেখা পাবেন কিনা। 

কবিতা দুইটিতে দেশপ্রেমের রূপ দুইটি ভিন্ন আঙ্গিকে ফুটে উঠেছে। মাতৃভুমির প্রকৃতির প্রেমে বিদেশরত কবি এতটাই মোহ ছিলেন যে বারবার শৈশবের স্মৃতিচারণ করেছিলেন আর এদিক ওদিক শৈশবের নদীকে খুঁজতে মরিয়া হয়ে উঠেছিলেন। এক অজানা আশঙ্খা কবি মনে বারবার উঁকি দিচ্ছিলো যদি আর সেই নদীর দেখা না পাই।  দেশপ্রেম থেকেই এমন অনুভূতির সৃষ্টি হয়। ঠিক একই রকম অনুভুতি প্রকাশ পেয়েছে “বঙ্গবাণী” কবিতায় । মাতৃভাষার প্রতি কবি তার গভীর উপলব্ধি ব্যক্ত করেছেন। মাতৃভাষায় গ্রন্থ রচনায় মনোনিবেশ করেছেন। মাতৃভাষার প্রতি যারা অবহেলা করে তাদের প্রতি কবি তীব্র ঘৃণা করে বলেছেন তারা কেন নিজ দেশ ছেড়ে অন্যত্র চলে যায় না। কবি মনে মাতৃভাষার প্রতি যে সম্মান ও ভালবাসার উদয় হয়েছে তার পিছনে দেশপ্রেমের বহিঃপ্রকাশ ঘটেছে।

হ্যাঁ। আমি মনে করি “অভাগীর স্বর্গ” গল্পে মানবিক সমাজ গঠনে যে প্রতিবন্ধকতা রয়েছে তা দূর করা যেতে পারে। এজন্য আমাদের কিছু পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করতে হবে। মানুষের মূল্যবোধ ও বিবেক দিয়ে বিচার করাকে মানবিকতা বলে। আমরা আমাদের জ্ঞান বুদ্ধি ও বিবেক দিয়ে মানবিকতা অর্জন করি । সব জিনিসের একটি লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্য থাকে। তেমনিভাবে মানবিকতার মূল লক্ষ্য হলো মানুষের তথা সমাজ ও জাতির কল্যাণ করা। মানুষের ভালো ভাবা ও মানুষের জন্য ভালো কিছু করা প্রচেষ্টা করা বা করাকে মানবিকতা বলে। কিন্তু আমাদের পঠিত শরৎচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায় রচিত অভাগীর স্বর্গ গল্পে এই মানবিকতা জিনিসটি বিন্দুমাত্র লক্ষিত হয় নি। যার কারনে বলা যায় অভাগীর স্বর্গ গল্পে মানবিক সমাজ গঠনে একেবারে ব্যর্থ কারণ এটি গঠনে নানা প্রতিবন্ধকতা রয়েছে। সেগুলো নিচে উপস্থাপন করা হলোঃ

(১) ধনী-গরীব বৈষম্যঃ আমরা আমাদের সমাজসহ নানান ক্ষেত্রে অনেক সময় ধনী ও গরিবের বৈষম্য দেখে থাকি। এই গল্প তা ব্যাপকভাবে পরিলক্ষিত হয়। গল্পে ধনী শ্রেণীর লোকেরা অনেক টাকা পয়সার মালিক হওয়ার কারণে তারা আরাম-আয়েশ করত কিন্তু গরিবের দুঃখ কষ্ট বোঝার তেমন কোনো চেষ্টা করত না।

(২) জাতের ভেদাভেদঃ অভাগীর স্বর্গ গল্পে অভাগী ও তার ছেলে কাঙ্গালীর জাত দুলে সম্প্রদায়ের হওয়ার কারণে সমাজের কোন লোক তাদেরকে কোন মূল্য দিতো না। যার কারণে অভাগী তার মৃত্যুর পর দাহ করার জন্য কাঠটুকু পর্যন্ত পায়নি। এ যেন গরিব হয়ে জন্ম নেওয়াটাই অনেক বড় পাপের!

(৩) দূর্বল ও পক্ষপাত শাসনব্যবস্থাঃ “অভাগীয় স্বর্গ” গল্পে উল্লেখিত শাসনব্যবস্থা দূর্বল হওয়ার কারণে গরিব লোকেরা কোন সময় তাদের প্রাপ্ত অধিকার পায়নি।

(৪) শাসকগোষ্ঠীর নির্যাতন ও অত্যাচারঃ শাসকেরা আমাদেরকে শাসন করে। দেশের সকল ক্ষমতা থাকে তাদের হাতে। কিন্তু এই শাসকেই যে অনেক সময় শোষকে পরিণত হয়। আর “অভাগীয় স্বর্গ” গল্পে উল্লেখিত জমিদার ও ধনী শ্রেণির লোকদের মধ্যে এটাই পরিলক্ষিত হয়।

(৫) সামাজিক মর্যাদাঃ আমাদের সমাজে বসবাস করতে হলে একটি সামাজিক পদমর্যাদার সাথে বসবাস করতে হয়। যখন কোন মানুষ সমাজে সামাজিক মর্যাদার সাথে বসবাস করতে পারে না তখন সমাজ কলুষিত হয়ে যায়। যোগ্য লোকেরা পায়না তাদের ন্যায্য সম্মান।

প্রতিবন্ধকতা দূরীকরণের উপায় তবে এসকল প্রতিবন্ধকতা ভুলে গিয়ে ও সকল প্রতিবন্ধকতাকে জয় করে একটি মানবিক সমাজ গঠণ করা সম্ভব। নিম্নে মানবিক সমাজ গঠনের উপায়গুলো আলোচনা করা হলোঃ

(১) সঠিক ও সুন্দর শাসন ব্যবস্থাঃ একটি দেশের শান্তি, সমৃদ্ধি অনেকাংশে নির্ভর করে সঠিক ও সুন্দর শাসনব্যবস্থার উপর। আর যার কারণে এই ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করে মানবিক সমাজ গঠন করা সম্ভব।

(২) সামাজিক স্বীকৃতি প্রদানঃ সমাজের অনেকে হিজড়া, বেদে, মেথর ইত্যাদি লোকদের অবজ্ঞান করে থাকে। তাদেরকে সমাজের অংশ মনে করে না। কিন্তু সামাজিক স্বীকৃতি পেলে তাদের সম্মান অনেক বাড়বে ও সকলে মূল্যবোধ প্রদর্শন করবে। যাতে গড়ে উঠবে মানবিক সমাজ।

(৩) ধনী-গরিব বৈষম্য দূরীকরণঃ বহু বছর ধরে চলে আসা ধনী-গরিবের বৈষম্য মানবিক সমাজ গঠণের অন্যতম প্রধান অন্তরায়। তাই আমাদের মানবিক সমাজ গড়ে তুলতে অবশ্যই ধনী-গরিব বৈষম্য দূর করতে হবে।

(৪) অসাম্প্রদায়িকতাঃ এক জাতের সাথে অন্য জাতের তুলনা না করে মানুষই বড় পরিচয় এমন মনোভাব পোষণ করতে হবে।

(৫) মূল্যবোধ সৃষ্টি ও ধর্মীয় অনুশাসন অনুসরণঃ আমাদের মানবিক সমাজ গড়ে তোলতে হলে অবশ্যই মূল্যবোধের চর্চা করতে হবে ও ধর্মীয় অনুশাসন মেনে চলতে হবে।

আর এইভাবেই আমরা সামাজিক সকল প্রতিবন্ধকতা দূর করে একটি মানবিক সমাজ গড়ে তোলতে পারি।

আধুনিক জগতে সমগ্র বিশ্বকে উপলব্ধি করতে হলে সভ্য মানুষের বইয়ের অবারিত সঙ্গ না হলে চলে না। আবার বইয়ের সূত্র ধরে মানুষ অগ্রসর হয়ে চলে সভ্যতা ও সংস্কৃতির বিবর্তনের পথে। পৃথিবীর ইতিহাস-ঐতিহ্যের অন্যতম অবলম্বন বই। বইয়ের মাধ্যমে আমরা বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশ, জাতি, ভাষা সম্বন্ধে জ্ঞান লাভ করি।

বই মানুষকে পৃথিবীতে হাজার বছর পথচলার অনুভূতি দিতে পারে। আবার বইয়ের মধ্য দিয়েই কোন কবি, সাহিত্যিক বা লেখক মৃত্যুর পরও বেঁচে থাকতে পারেন হাজার বছর। বই মানুষের হৃদয়ের দ্বার খুলে দেয়, চিন্তার জগতকে প্রসারিত করে। আমাদের মননশক্তি ও হৃদয়বৃত্তিকে সম্পূর্ণভাবে জাগ্রত করতে পারি বই পাঠের মাধ্যমেই। তাই  বই পড়ার  অভ্যাস গঠন করা অবশ্যই উচিত।

বইয়ে জ্ঞান-বিজ্ঞান, শিল্প-সাহিত্যের স্রোতধারা একত্রিত হয়। সেই ধারার সাথে মিললেই মানুষের আত্মপ্রসার ঘটে। তাই আমরা অধিক পরিমাণে বইপাঠে আগ্রহী হব, যা দিতে পারে এক সুন্দর ভবিষ্যৎ। পাঠ্য বইয়ে আবদ্ধ না থেকে অন্যান্য বই পড়ার অভ্যাস গড়ে তোলা প্রয়োজন। মনে রাখতে হবে বই মানুষের একমাত্র বন্ধু যার ছোঁয়ায় স্বশিক্ষা অর্জন করা যায়।

‘অভাগীর স্বর্গ’ গল্পে মানবিক সমাজ গঠনে যে প্রতিবন্ধকতাসমূহ রয়েছে তা কীভাবে দূর করা যেতে পারে বলে তুমি মনে কর? যৌক্তিক মত উপস্থাপন কর।

মানবিকতার মূলমন্ত্র হলাে মানুষের কল্যাণ, জাতির কল্যাণ সমাজের কল্যাণ। মােটকথা মানুষের ভলাে, মানুষের জন্য ভালাে কিছু করা, মানুষের উন্নতি সাধন করাই মানবিকতা।

শরৎচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায় রচিত ‘অভাগীর স্বর্গ’ গল্পে মানবিক সমাজ গঠনে যে প্রতিবন্ধকতাসমূহ তুলে ধরা হয়েছে তা নিম্নে বর্ণনা করা হলোঃ

‘অভাগীর স্বর্গ’ গল্পে সামন্তবাদের নির্মম রূপ ও নীচ শ্রেণীর হতদরিদ্র মানুষের দুঃখ-কষ্ট ও যন্ত্রণার ছবি ফুটে উঠেছে। অভাগীর মৃত্যুর পর পুত্র কাঙালী মায়ের সৎকারের প্রয়োজনীয় কাঠের জন্য সমাজের উঁচু শ্রেণীর লোকের নিকট যায়। কিন্তু তারা কাঙালীকে কাঠতো দেয়ইনি, উপরন্তু ভর্ৎসনা, তিরস্কার, অবজ্ঞা, অবহেলা, গলা ধাক্কা প্রভৃতি তাকে সহ্য করতে হয়েছে। সমাজে সর্বদাই উঁচু শ্রেণীর মানুষ কর্তৃক নীচু শ্রেণীর মানুষেরা শোষণ-বঞ্চনার শিকার হয়। সমাজের এই শ্রেণি বৈষম্য, শােষকের শােষণ, সামাজিক মর্যাদার মতভেদ লেখক তাঁর দরদি ভাষায় ‘অভাগীর স্বর্গ’ গল্পে উপস্থাপন করেছেন।

প্রতিবন্ধকতাসমূহ দূর করার উপায়সমূহঃ 

 ১। শ্রেণি বৈষম্য দূরীকরণঃ

সমাজের সবাই সমান। সমাজে কোন উঁচুনিচু বা শ্রেণি বৈষম্য থাকবেনা।  যে বুদ্ধি আমরা অর্জন  বিভিন্ন ধরনের জ্ঞানের মাধ্যমে তা এই শ্রেণি বৈষম্য  দূরীকরণে কাজে লাগাতে হবে। ধর্মীয়, সামাজিক, রাজনৈতিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক মূল্যবোধ শক্তিশালী করার মাধ্যমে আমরা শ্রেণি বৈষম্য দূর করতে পারি। হিন্দুস্থানি দারােয়ান অশ্রাব্য গালি দিলেও গায়ে হাত দিনা অশৌচের ভয়ে। এতেই প্রতীয়মান হয় যে তৎকালীন হিন্দুসমাজে জাত-পাত ও বর্ণপ্রথা প্রচলিত ছিল। এই ধরণের বৈষম্য অবশ্যই দূর করতে হবে যদি আমরা একটি মানবিক সমাজ গঠন করতে চাই।

২। যথােপযুক্ত শাসনব্যবস্থাঃ

বর্তমান যুগে সঠিক শাসন ব্যবস্থা শোষকের শোষণ থেকে রক্ষা করতে বিশাল ভূমিকা পালন করে। একটি সুন্দর মানবিক সমাজ গঠনে আইনের সঠিক ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে কার্যকরী শাসনব্যবস্থা চালু থাকলে শুধু সমাজ নয় বরং সারা পৃথিবীকে মানবিক করে তােলা সম্ভব।

৩। শাসন ব্যবস্থার স্বচ্ছতাঃ

সমাজে যারা শাসক গােষ্ঠী রয়েছে অর্থাৎ যারা সমাজে নীতি নির্ধারক তারা যদি সমাজের মানুষের উপকারে তাদের শাসন করে তবে সে সমাজ মানবিক হতে বাধ্য। শাসনের নামে শােষণ  হলে শােষিত মানুষের মাঝে সবসময় ক্ষোভ বিরাজ করে।

৪। সুষম বিচার ব্যবস্থাঃ

যে সমাজে বিচার ব্যবস্থা সুষম অর্থাৎ ন্যয়বিচার রয়েছে সে সমাজ কে আমরা মানবিক বলতে পারি। একটা সমাজে যদি অন্যায় অপরাধের সঠিক বিচার হয়, বিচার ব্যবস্থা যদি পক্ষপাতদুষ্ট না হয় তখনই সমাজের বসবাসরত মানুষ নিজেদেরকে নিরাপদ ও সুরক্ষিত ভাবতে পারবে। আর এতেই মানবিক সমাজ গঠনের পথটা সুগম হয়ে যাবে।

৫। ধর্মীয়, সামাজিক, রাজনৈতিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক মূল্যবোধ শক্তিশালীকরণঃ

একটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় হল সমাজে যেন সবাই নিজের মত করে বাঁচতে পারে।  নিজস্ব ধর্মীয় আচার আচরণ পালন করতে পারে। নিজের মতামত স্পষ্ট করে প্রকাশ করতে পারে সে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করতে হবে। একটা মানুষ যখন মনে করে যে এই সমাজে সে তার নিজস্বতা আছে তখন সে স্বাধীনভাবে মতামত প্রকাশ করতে পারে। সামাজিক মূল্যবােধ চর্চা করতে হবে। সমাজের প্রতিটি মানুষের মাঝে সামাজিক মূল্যবােধ কে জাগিয়ে তুলতে হবে।
